Online SERU Training

Welcome to the TFL SERU Training – an online training course to help you pass your TfL SERU assessment.

We can’t stress enough how important it is to train for the TfL SERU assessment test, as it is a requirement for all private hire drivers existing and new applicants. If you do not pass you risk losing your private hire licence or not being given one. You only get 2 opportunities to take the SERU test with TfL, after which you must start a new private hire licence application, which not only takes a long time to get re-licensed but also has a financial impact on you.

But don’t worry, we’re here to help you get the knowledge you need to pass the TfL SERU test the first time!

Transport for London who set the licensing regulation for the Private Hire industry in London introduced the SERU assessment which stands for Safety, Equality and Regulatory Understanding.

The SERU assessment lays out the following:

1. Your obligation as a private hire driver under the PHV (London) Act 1998 including the associated regulations and relevant obligations including the Equality Act 2010.
2. Policies and guidance set to TfL
3. The needs of passengers, especially those who fall under the Equality Act 2010 and are under a protected characteristic.
4. Protecting children and adults at risk of harm and abuse
5. Passenger and driver safety
6. Road and vehicle safety

Our TFL SERU training is a vital tool in helping you pass the TfL SERU test. You can read each section that we’ve divided into easy to learn lessons and then answer questions along the way that will help you solidify your understanding. After each section we provide a test to help you ensure you’ve taken in the information so far.

At the end of all the sections, you can do an online SERU mock test that includes actual questions and is built to imitate features of the actual test, like the drag the words to fill in the blanks questions.

We’ve broken down each section into smaller manageable sections of learning followed by questions, so take your time and repeat each section if needed.

Remember:
You can repeat the full course as many times as you need (within the timeframe of your chosen course length).
