SERU Test New Question Format

by | Jul 14, 2024 | SERU Test News

Since June 2024 the SERU assessment has had a slight change to one of the question formats used on the test.

Previously the sentence completion section of the SERU assessment required candidates to read a sentence with 3 missing words and then from a list of 6 words, find the correct words and drag them into the blank spaces.  Any remaining words would then need to be dragged into the red box labelled “incorrect word”.

The old format was certainly a bit fiddly and somewhat time-consuming, drivers that are not used to using a computer mouse would have had slight issues dragging in the words and therefore errors could happen.

The new sentence completion question format for the TfL SERU assessment offers a drop-down menu of words.  So, like before you will need to read a sentence with 3 missing words.  Where the blank sections for the missing words are, there is a new drop-down to select the answer box.  For each missing word section, you get a drop-down of 6 possible words to choose from.

We have updated our online SERU courses and SERU mock tests to reflect the new sentence completion question format.  By completing our SERU courses and SERU mock tests you will be able to get a real feel of what to expect on the TfL SERU assessment and it will ensure you are ready to go and pass your test.
