Commit to reading one section per day which should take a maximum of 30minutes if you read slowly and take in all the information.
It may be a long time since you last had to study for an exam. But did you know taking notes when learning helps you memorise things better. When you’re reading through the PHV Driver’s Handbook or completing an online SERU assessment course, make sure you take notes. If you have a printout of the PHV Handbook, use a highlighter to mark any key points.
One way to make sure you’ve understood something correctly is to discuss it with other people who are learning the same thing. When you get the chance, sit down with a fellow private hire driver, and talk about the sections of the SERU assessment and often you will find clarity in any sections you didn’t fully grasp.
4. Take a SERU Mock Test
After you’ve read the PHV Drivers Handbook or done an online SERU assessment course, make sure you take a SERU Mock Test. This will help you get a better feel of what to expect and give you the confidence that you can complete and pass the SERU assessment.
